Vinhas Altas, Vinho Verde ’18 from Portugal
A refreshing blend of 40% Arinto, 30% Trajadura and 30% Loureiro. Right from the Vinho Verde region of Portugal! And true to its name sake. Pale yellow in color. Aromas of green apple and pineapple. Touches of oats and rain kissed wild grass! Slightly effervescent and a fresh fruit rush upfront. Orange zest, pineapple, crisp gala apple turns mellow and almost velvety. Floral notes begin to show and soft mineral tones are balanced with a very pleasant finish.
Augey Wines, Bordeaux Blanc ’18 Entre-Deux-Mers from France
Blend of Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle. Augey (pronounced o-jay) wines are from the most famous appellation in France, and the world. Bordeaux, originally bord d’eau (side of the water), was a marsh until Dutch canals established the tributary of what is now the Gironde River. Augey White Bordeaux is estate bottled at their chateau in Entre-Deux-Mers, an area nestled between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers known for producing fantastic Bordeaux wine values. Pairs well with salads, fish, roasted chicken, shellfish, roquefort cheese or oysters on the half-shell.
Carletto, Montepulciano d‘Abruzzo ’17 from Italy
100% Montepulciano. This wine is ruby red in color and has bold inviting aromas of cherries and spices that explode from the glass to offer a fine, fresh, and well-orchestrated palate.A perfect complement to soups, cheeses, grilled meats, and spicy sauces.
